Cancellations to services between Glasgow Central and Neilston
Due to a broken down train between Neilston and Whitecraigs the line is blocked. Disruption is expected until 09:30 08/08.
Impact:
Train services between Glasgow Central and Neilston may be cancelled, delayed or terminated at and started back from Whitecraigs. Patterton and Neilston will not be served.

Option 1 - Check if a rail journey is currently possible..
* Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if you can continue your journey by rail.
Option 2 - Alternative Routes & Local Public Transport..
* Please check alternative walking routes for services via Neilston and East Kilbride.
Customers can travel on alternative routes.
* Glasgow Central to Barrhead - Customers can travel to Barrhead and use local buses from there for Neilston.
* Glasgow Central via Cathcart - Customers can use these for services between Glasgow and Cathcart.
* If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
* We have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on local bus routes at no extra cost.
McGills:
* 03: Glasgow - Pollokshields East - Queens Park - Pollokshields West - Crossmyloof - Pollokshaws East - Shawlands - Pollokshaws West - Priesthill & Darnley - Nitshill - Barrhead - Neilston
Option 3 - Rail Replacement Transport..
* Replacement buses have been requested for Neilson, these have still to be confirmed.
Option 4 - Consider travelling later..
* You might wish to consider postponing your journey until our service's return to normal.
Additional Information:
* The 06:58 Neilston to Glasgow Central has developed a fault between Neilston and Whitecraigs.
* Staff have declared the train a failure.
* An assisting train is currently attaching to get the failure back to the depot unfortunately the fault has also transferred to the assisting train and we are now waiting for the fitters to arrive onsite.
